Hey!

Hope you're all enjoying your summer.

Nick, Rich, Dave, Pat and I are gearing up for our big Euro tour starting next month. We'll be promotion the next run of AT OUR TABLES which includes a bonus live CD. (-just had to get this band on tape, they're that good - can I still say "on tape"? Well, there, I just did).

Looks like it was the right move. Check out this brand new review of At Our Tables Live ("Doesn't Mean A Thing" in particular).

This tour is pretty extensive - we'll be going to places I've never been, Prague, Stockholm, Berlin - we're very excited. Show information is being updated daily so please check back to see if we're coming to your part of the world. We'd love to see you at a show.

Thanks for checking in.

DAILY MUSIC GUIDE, July 2008

Eileen Rose - Doesn't Mean A Thing (Evangeline Records)

Championed by Bob Harris on Radio 2, Eileen Rose is emerging as one of the US's top female artists at the moment. 'Doesn't Mean A Thing' is taken from her fourth album At Our Tables, marking her breakthrough into the mainstream.

With a voice that sounds like a creamy cup of hot chocolate, mixed with a sprinkle of acoustic and electric guitar that resonates through the soul like that first throat-burning sip, Eileen serves up a song of lost love, full of swagger, resilience, and brilliance.

Beginning with a beautifully slow intro, it blossoms into the epic chorus before gracefully mellowing out. Her voice is full of grit and power, which compliments the electric guitars perfectly, taking influences from the likes of Pat Benatar and Stevie Nicks.

Whilst it may not appeal directly to the commercial music industry, (let's face it, songs that are as mature and alternative as this never make it to the top of the UK Top 40), for those who love and respect the independent scene, full of rich material such as this, it's an essential addition to any music lover's catalogue, and a good solid taster of her album.

Smooth as cream, yet warm as a cup of coffee, 'Doesn't Mean A Thing' is a very tasty little number.

Rating: 5/5

Happy To Announce
*Please see our MySpace blog for a prettier version of this post, pix inclued. Link is below!

Hello everybody,

Hope you're all well. We've got exciting news, another great tour coming up, and something new for you, because you asked for it.

The Bicycle Music Company

I'm very pleased and proud to announce that I've just signed to Bicycle Music Publishers. So, I'm now part of a roster that includes Dwight Yoakam, Josh Kelly, Jose Gonzalez, Composer Michael Brook, DNTL and other diverse, top songwriters. Hopefully, you'll be hearing more of my songs in film and tv and maybe, even, performed by other artists. Bicycle is a great company and I'm honored to a part of it. They're in NY and LA (but don't worry, I won't go all "hollywood" on you now. Though I suddenly feel fat).

European Tour Starts August 2008

The Holy Wreck (Nicholas Ward, Rich Gilbert and Davey Bull) and I (Eileen Rose) had such an enjoyable and successful European run last March/April that we've been asked back for another tour starting in August. Thanks for that.

It's going to be a long one, taking in the UK, Italy, Germany, Holland , Prague plus a few other cities in the Czech Republic.

Hopefully, we'll be in your town and we'd love to see you. Show details on:

MySpace or Eileen Rose Official Web Page or ER on Facebook

AOT Live!

Along with the next pressing of At Our Tables, the great folks at our label, Evangeline, are giving you a copy of our brand new live record. (For a limited time only.) I'm particularly excited about this album as Nicholas, Rich and Davey are incredible performers and our live shows have been extraordinary. So, you asked for it, you got it. Hope you like it.
AOT Live will be available September 2008.

DiPinto Guitars & Rich Gilbert

We're happy to announce that our Rich is now endorsed by the cool and stylish, DiPinto Guitars. The folks there make some beautiful instruments and "do it their way". Have a look on their web page (on above link). Many thanks to them! It's a good pairing.

That's it for now.
We'll keep you posted, of course, as shows are added and fun or interesting things occur. Stay in touch and, as always, thank you for all the photos, videos and supportive messages you send us every day. They move us forward.

See you out there,

HOME AGAIN, FOR A MINUTE

HOME AGAIN, FOR A MINUTE

Hello all you wonderful people,

We've just gotten back from 6 weeks of tremendous fun and perpetual fatigue. What an incredible experience - not just the majestic scenery, cool clubs, one passionate audience after another and the generous folk who looked after us...but the music. What an honor it is, and has been, to play and travel with this band.

We've posted a couple clips on MySpace from our Maloe Melo performance which was a blast. Many thanks to Rene for these. YRightfully so.

So successful was this tour that, I'm excited to say, we're all heading back to Europe for another August/September run including several festivals. Dates are being confirmed now and we'll post them as soon as we get them.

Lots of other exciting things cooking which I can't tell you about...yet. Just waiting for official word.

Thanks to you all for checking in. Your support is everything.

See you out there,
